How do I file a Code Enforcement Complaint?
There are four (4) ways to file a compliant with Code Enforcement:
1 – TELEPHONE
You can contact the Code Enforcement Office at 954-784-3409.
2 – IN PERSON
The Code Enforcement Staff is in the office Monday through Friday
from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are available to take your complaints in person during these times.
3 – U.S. MAIL
You can mail your complaints to the Code Enforcement Office at
2200 NE 38th Street, Lighthouse Point, FL 33064.
4 – ONLINE
Visit our website at www.lighthousepoint.com , click on Code Enforcement, then scroll to the bottom of the page and you will find an online form. Fill out the form and submit it. This form goes directly to the Code Enforcement Office.
Code Enforcement will accept anonymous complaints, but without a name, phone number or email address we will not be able to notify you of the actions taken regarding your complaint.
How do I make a Code Enforcement complaint before or after regular business hours and on the weekend?
The Code Enforcement Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is also an officer available on the weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you have an emergency that cannot wait until normal working hours or if you need to contact the officer on duty during the weekend, you can call the Lighthouse Point Police Department dispatcher at 954-942-8080. They will either contact the Code Enforcement Officer, if on duty, or dispatch a Police Officer to investigate your complaint.
Where can I find a copy of the City of Lighthouse Point Code of Ordinances?
You can always visit the Code Enforcement Office during regular business hours to view the Citys code book. The Citys Code of Ordinances is also available online here. At this screen you will be able to search or view the entire Code of Ordinances.
