The City of Lighthouse Point will hold a General Municipal Election on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Voting will be held to fill the position of Mayor.

Following are the candidate choices for the position of Mayor for the City of Lighthouse Point:

 Glenn Troast OR Maria O’Donnell

In Seat Numbers 4 and 5, Kyle Van Buskirk and Sandy Johnson have been considered re-elected for a term of three (3) years, as no other candidate filed for these seats.

Dates to Remember:

March 17 at 7:30 a.m., Canvass the votes and Declare the results of the Election

March 21, 2017 at 7:30 p.m., swear in  the newly elected officials and elect a President and Vice President of the City Commission

You can register to vote at the checkout counter of any public library, social service agency, motor vehicle agency, or you can request an application by mail.  We encourage everyone to register to vote.

 ABSENTEE BALLOTS 

 All Broward County registered voters are eligible for absentee voting. Applications for absentee ballots may be obtained through the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office, SOE Website

Acceptable Forms of Voter ID

When voting early or voting at a polling place, Florida law requires voters to present a photo ID with signature.

ID required and checked at the polls is used solely to confirm the voter’s identity, not to verify the voter’s ID number or address. If the voter’s photo ID does not contain a signature, an additional document with signature may be used.
